The winners of the 2010 Soil Association Organic Food Awards have been announced.
The Awards, now in their 22nd year, were given given out by the food campaigner and broadcaster Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and organic restaurant pioneer Geetie Singhduring the Organic Food Festival (September 11-12, Bristol Waterfront)
58 expert judges — including chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and nutritionists – gave their verdict on 600 different products in 12 categories at a four-day tasting marathon hosted at the Duke of Cambridge organic pub in London.
In all categories judging was by blind tasting with products rated on taste, smell, texture and appearance.
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall said: ”It is a pleasure to be handing out the Organic Food Awards this year to such devoted and deserving producers.

What about the runners up? We produce wonderful beef here at http://www.westhelefarm.co.uk and we came second in the Meat and Fish Catagory. But the likes of us never get a mention! Oh – second in the meat and fish makes us first when it comes to beef!
How’s about it for all the other producers? There is some wonderful produce out there and as 97% of all food is bought in just 4 shops, we would appreciate it if you supported us all.
Keep and eat well
