A new range of snacks has been created by The Food Doctor in the form of Veggie Goodness Bars.

Crammed with vegetables, seeds and grains, each bar provides nearly half the recommended daily intake of fibre and contains healthy fats and vitamins.

The bars are available in four flavours: Beetroot, Walnut & Chickpea; Tomato, Chilli & Cashew; Sweet Potato, Pecan & Red Lentil; and Kale & Cashew.

The bars are produced by chopping and lightly heating the ingredients before pressing them into shape. Suitable for vegans, the 40g bars have no refined sugars.

“After the successful brand refresh earlier this year, new product innovation will be the core theme over the next 12 months,” says Hannah Haas, head of marketing at The Food Doctor. “Our in-house nutritionist and development team have been hard at work so we’re delighted to kick things off with the launch these Vegetable Goodness Bars. We’re confident the taste profiles, ingredient lists and nutritional benefits will be a big hit with consumers and further bolster our range of healthy, guilt-free snacking options.”

Added Gemma Shorter, the brand’s in-house nutritionist: “Whether it’s to keep you going in between meals, before sport or as a snack on-the-run, these Vegetable Goodness Bars are the perfect fuel and guilt-free snack. They’re great tasting, filled with nutritious ingredients and packed with fibre, which acts as a prebiotic and is vital for our digestive health. As snacks go, they really are win-win.”
