Supernutrients gets on the fast track

UK superfood company Supernutrients has ranked in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table.

The company’s previous annual sales rise of 89% launched it into the 18th annual Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 at number 29. The table ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing sales over three years. Supernutrients, which currently employs 25 people, recorded sales of £7.1 million in 2014.

The family-owned firm was founded in 2006 and is an importer and wholesaler of over 60 superfoods, including goji berries, chia seeds, coconut powder and wheatgrass.

Commenting on the news, company MD, Martin Kemp, said: “It directly affirms the enduring principles of hard work, integrity and reliability upon which Supernutrients is built”.

He added that he put the firm’s success down to a “combination of market knowledge, first rate research, excellent quality products, competitive pricing and professional service”.

This year the company expanded its market presence with the introduction of an affordable, retail-ready range of 18 of its most popular superfoods in resealable pouches.
