Soil Association launches promotional push for Organic September 2011

The Soil Association has launched an on-line promotional pack designed to help independent retailers boost sales of organic produce during Organic September 2011.

The month-long event is billed as the UK’s biggest celebration of all things organic. Over 31 days retailers and manufacturers will be encouraged to help spread the “Discover organic” message on-line and in-store to persuade new and lapsed consumers about the benefits of the category.

Downloadable promotional materials available to retailers include posters, leaflets, bunting, roundels, web and email banners and shelf edging. The Soil Association is also encouraging independents to hold promotional events and stock multi buy and cross-promotional offers across their shelves.

Social media will be a key part of the campaign – with organisers aiming to build awareness on Twitter, Facebook and post photos of events on Flickr.
