Australian brand Pimp My Salad has entered the UK market, offering a three-strong range of innovative vegan meal toppers.

Created using slow-dried cooking techniques to retain the nutritional value of the ingredients, which are sourced from ethical suppliers, the Pimp My Salad range is gluten-free and keto/paleo friendly and the UK offer comprises:

  • Coconut Bacon which combines coconut flakes with herbs, spices and a natural wood smoke to create a crunchy bacon alternative
  • Cashew Parmesan Cheez using raw cashews, sunflower seeds, nutritional yeast, organic kale and lemon peel to produce a ‘vibrant, punchy’ topping
  • Activated Super Seeds which mixes six seeds, including chia and poppy, with lively spices and tamari.

Founders Alex Komarov and Olga Plotnikova created the line to add extra goodness to breakfast, lunch and dinner – bringing a pop of crunch and bold flavours to salads  and grains or give an extra dimension to pizzas and pasta soups, transforming meals from ‘bland to exceptional in 2.8 seconds’. They can also be eaten straight from the jar as nutritious plant based snacks.

“We’re really excited about our UK launch,” says Plotnikova. “Veganism is getting big in Australia and we do extremely well in this sector, but what is really exciting are the number of customers embracing the brand, and loving the flavours on offer, who aren’t necessarily following a plant-based diet. We’re confident, given the feedback we get from customers here, that the UK public will embrace the brand and we have an exciting marketing campaign in place to tell them all about it.”

The toppers are available in jars (60-120g), single serve sachets (15-20g) and value pack formats (125-170g).
