Veggie pie-maker Clive’s has announced that its entire offer is now completely plant-based.

The fully-vegan Clive’s range consists of 16 products including Creamy Mushroom, Arabian Chickpea and Saag Aloo pies, Tomato & Olive and Lentil & Kale tarts and Vegan Nut Roast, and includes multiple gluten-free options.

“This is a really exciting time for us,” says Clive’s owner Sally Carson. “We’d been wanting to make the change for a while, and now that we’ve done it – it feels amazing. I went vegan myself over three years ago and it just felt like the next logical step for the business. We’ll still be small-batch baking using organic, sustainably sourced ingredients, but now customers can tuck in knowing everything is purely plants.”

The Devon-based baker has also revealed that it will be moving from its current premises – the 6,000sqft bakery based in an old woollen mill in Buckfastleigh – where it first started over 30 years ago, to a larger purpose-built factory in Dartmouth in June.

“We’ve been hard at work updating our recipes, and refreshing our packaging to relaunch our now totally plant-based range,” explains brand director Esther Pearson. “As always, we’ve done everything with care and consideration for the planet to give people all of the taste and none of the waste. Our packaging is still minimal, recyclable and compostable and we’re committed to our organic, GMO- and pesticide-free ingredients. We can’t wait to get into the new bakery in June and continue to do what we do best – baking delicious pies!”
