Marking its first foray into the white chocolate market, sustainable oat milk chocolate brand H!P (Happiness in Plants) has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of Berry Crunch White Chocolate Bar.

Described as a deliciously creamy, dairy-free alternative to traditional white milk chocolate, the ‘sweet and fruity’ bar was developed in response to consumer demand for a white chocolate H!P variant.

The vegan-friendly bar blends sustainably-sourced single origin Colombian cocoa with oat milk, crunchy biscuit pieces and dried raspberries and blueberries. It has around 30% less sugar than the average high street equivalent and more cocoa, at 41%.

“White chocolate sales in the UK hit £179 million in 2020 (Kantar Worldpanel) and continue to perform strongly,” comments James Cadbury, founder of H!P and ethical chocolate brand Love Cocoa. “Innovation in this segment is key to driving sales and we believe this new H!P creation ticks all the boxes. The brand’s success is testament to the ever-growing popularity of oat milk, which has firmly achieved mainstream status and is more sustainable to produce versus traditional dairy chocolate. We can’t wait to hear what H!P fans think of this new bar!”

Berry Crunch, which features H!P’s signature design and is wrapped in plastic-free recyclable packaging, joins the existing Creamy & Smooth, Salty Pretzel, Cookies No Cream, Salted Caramel and Salted Honeycomb variants.
