Leading names ‘GO! Organic’

Clearspring, Community Foods, Abel & Cole and G’s Fresh have been confirmed as headline sponsors of GO! Organic, taking place in London’s Battersea Park over 8-9 September.

Tracy Kane of Community Foods says the distributor is ‘really excited’ to be supporting the festival in its inaugural year. “There is such a buzz around the organic sector at the moment. It is a great initiative to showcase our fantastic, burgeoning industry, which provides visitors with a brilliant day out for all the family,” says Kane.

Fellow sponsor Clearspring says it is ‘proud’ to be involved, adding that the date of the event will mark another key landmark for the brand: “We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary at the festival and bringing our authentic Japanese and organic fine foods to all the organic food lovers,” says Maria Dawson, sales and marketing director.  “From matcha to miso … noodles to seaweed, there will be a something for everyone including fun for all the family in the Clearspring Japanese Tea Garden. We are so excited to be part of the growing organic passion and this is a great opportunity for us to meet like-minded people and share our story with them.’’

With the Soil Association and Organic Trade Board supporting the event as marketing partners, and a founding exhibitor list which includes Organico, Infinity Foods, Godminster Cheese, Greenfibres, Natracare, Green People, G&G Vitamins, Yogi Teas, Motion Nutrition, Woodland Trust, London & Scottish and Vintage Roots, organizers Diversified Communications says it is ‘delighted’ with the industry-wide support.

“Starting something as ambitious and on the scale of GO! is always going to be a challenge, but we have had an incredible response with virtually everyone we talk to wanting to get involved in one way or another. I really feel this has the makings of something that will become a really important annual highlight for our industry, which will help to promote the benefits of organic to a wider audience, in a fun and entertaining setting,” says Amanda Thackray, sales manager.

Commenting on the OTB’s involvement, Anna Rosier adds: “The Organic Feed Your Happy team is excited to be one of the first to support the festival, being part of the team, making sure as an industry we communicate organic in a consistent, enjoyable and motivating way, so everyone who attend the festival walks home with a smile on their face, tell stories about their positive organic experience at the festival and help grow sales in the UK.”

The festival will act as a communication platform which those in the organic industry can use to reach, inform and educate consumers about the benefits of ‘going organic’. for According to the organisers, the event aims to provide an effective communication platform for the organic industry to reach, inform and educate consumers about the benefits of organic, in an inspiring, fun, informative and entertaining way, with a view to help to grow the consumption of organic in the UK, and to provide an effective sales and marketing platform for companies involved in the sector.  The event will be subject to a substantial marketing, PR and social media campaign, and expects to attract in excess of 15,000 visitor in the first year.
