Power Health expands operations

Family-run health and wellbeing product manufacturer Power Health is eyeing future growth with a major facilities expansion.

Headquartered in Pocklington, East Yorkshire, the company has expanded its premises by 14,800sq ft with a new building adjoining its existing 28,000sq ft operation, stating that the 50% increase in capacity will enable it to produce and stock more lines as it grows its customer base.

Power Health employs 65 people and manufactures and distributes a range of British-made products – including vitamins, minerals, proteins, supplements, natural remedies – under its own label as well as for other brands.

Because we manufacture here in Yorkshire, we are able to respond to industry trends very quickly so our expansion will allow us to stock a wider range and ensure that we can meet market demands

“We moved into our current site in 1982 and we’ve outgrown all useable space so we’ve constructed a new building and knocked through to create a fantastic new facility,” explains Power Health MD Vicky McIver. “We manufacture, package and label all of our own products here as well as stock and distribute Power Health and other brands, so increasing the size of our operation by 50% means we can accommodate recent growth.”

“Because we manufacture here in Yorkshire, we are able to respond to industry trends very quickly so our expansion will allow us to stock a wider range and ensure that we can meet market demands,” she says, adding: “Whether that’s a newer trend such as CBD-based products … or something more traditional such as Fuller’s Earth, which we brought back to UK shops this year, we are now primed for expansion.”

Established in 1972, the company sells via its own website as well as through retailers across the UK, including independent health stores.
