Transparency key for new London beauty brand

Determined to be upfront about its ingredients, new-to-market natural and organic beauty brand By Sarah took the decision to list them in full on the front of each product.

The business is run by sisters Sarah and Lauren Murrell (pictured). CEO Sarah’s inspiration and motivation to create an all-natural organic skincare and wellness range began with Lauren’s recovery from leukaemia in 2012.

While searching for gentle, natural and organic products she encountered a problem: it was almost impossible to tell what was in the products. “Even many natural and organic ranges had long, cryptic ingredient lists and sometimes confusing and misleading labelling,” she says.

The London-based company’s range comprises an Organic Facial Oil, Organic Body Oil and Organic Lip Balm, and is made using cold-pressed sustainably sourced, Soil Association-certified plant-based oils.

By Sarah is suitable for all skin types and, with no added fragrance or essential oils, they are neutral, universal blends so can be used by both men and women.

Packed in amber coloured glass bottles to preserve the integrity of the ingredients, the products are manufactured in England.
