Puressentiel produces antipollution elixir

With increasing awareness about how pollution compromises skin health, Puressentiel has created Organic Essential Elixir to help regenerate skin cells and renourish skin.

The formulation, the brand’s first skincare product in the UK, is a unique combination of eight enriching organic oils which have been shown to protect the skin from pollution-fuelled damage, combating wrinkles and skin ageing through their anti-inflammatory properties.

The elixir contains the essential oils of: immortelle, to regenerate skin and combat visible signs of ageing; rose geranium, with its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal activity; antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal true lavender regenerates and soothes the skin; and ylang ylang, known for its calming properties.

It also contains four dermatologically tested plant oils: rose hip to nourish the skin and combat wrinkles; borage to protect and revitalize the complexion; evening primrose to restore the skin’s flexibility and stall ageing; and sesame, rich in vitamin E it restores and nourishes the skin and protects against skin oxidative stress.

Skincare specialist and adviser to Puressentiel, Katharine Mackenzie Paterson, comments: “One of the great advantages of using new Puressentiel Organic Essential Elixir for skincare is that it moisturizes the epidermis and reduces dehydration, but it does not stimulate the production of sebum and clog the pores.”
