Suppliers get into the swing for children’s charity

Suppliers are being invited to attend a charity golf and summer ball hosted by NBTY Europe, the parent company of Holland & Barrett, Julian Graves and GNC, next month at the Marriott Forest of Arden hotel in Birmingham.

The event aims to raise £50,000 for the Rainbows Hospice, which supports children and young people who are terminally ill or suffering from life-threatening illnesses in the East Midlands.

NBTY Europe’s suppliers have been signing up to play golf, enjoy a day of spa pampering or a clay pigeon shoot as well as donating prizes for the evening’s auction and raffle.

Group Chief Executive Peter Aldis is passionate about the event, which is now in its third year. “Ultimately we want to raise as much money as we can for Rainbows, but this event is also a great opportunity for our suppliers to come and meet members of the NBTY Europe team and network with each other. We are running a bidding system where anyone in the business is available to the highest bidder, including me, to either spend the day on the golf course with them or to be seated on the same table at the ball.

“While traditionally we only invite our current suppliers, there is the opportunity for potential new business to join us if they wish to have the opportunity to build a relationship with a contact within NBTY Europe.”

The charity event will take place on Thursday 18 August and places are still available for golf, clay pigeon shoot and summer ball, although these are limited and going fast. For further information email [email protected]
