A wealth of health on the New Products Showcase

The New Products Showcase at this year’s Natural & Organic Products Europe featured a record number of Health & Nutrition entries, with the category seeing innovation across a diverse range of health areas.

Fortifying the current trend for cannabidiol, CBD enjoyed significant attention with several hemp-based product entries: Bionativa with its CannabiGold Classic; CBD One which entered its Absorb Gold+ product; Kiki Ltd which showcased CBD Oil; and Tree of Life which used the platform to present its PlanetHemp Org Hemp Seed Oil + CBD.

Other popular ingredients such as turmeric, ashwagandha and reishi were also thrown into the spotlight – BIO-CURCUMIN with BCM95 from Coyne Healthcare; Organic Ashwagandha Extract from Vidya Europe SAS; and Mushrooms 4 Life Reishi Spore from Living Planet Distribution – but it was BetterYou which scooped the award for Best New Health & Nutrition Product, launching its Iron Oral Spray to market for the first time.

Speaking to NPN following the awards ceremony, the brand’s founder, Andrew Thomas, said the recognition meant ‘everything’: “The win means the world to us, it genuinely does. We don’t develop products for awards but it means the world to know that people appreciate what we do and understand what we do. For the team, as well, it’s a stimulator.

“I think to be in this industry means that you have to give, and to know that the products resonate with this industry is everything – it’s just great,” Thomas adds.
