CHC sets our plans for year of hard campaigning

Consumers for Health Choice has published the first issue of its new quarterly newsletter, summarising recent campaigning activity and previewing busy plans for 2014.

Speaking today (11 October), CHC’s director of strategy, Chris Whitehouse, said: “After the relaunch of CHC’s Save Our Supplements campaign and our move into social media earlier this year, the last few months have seen the CHC team engaged in a flurry of activity, which has been focused in particular on the European institutions in Brussels.

“Throughout this activity we have sought to ensure that the voice of the consumer has been heard loud and clear. CHC took these consumer concerns over access to vitamins and minerals to Brussels, where we found we had the full support of a number of influential Members of the European Parliament.

“In addition, we have been preparing the annual CHC Parliamentary Reception, which once again will see the Public Health Minister attending alongside key policymakers, industry representatives and consumers.

“With 2013 coming to an end, we have also been setting out plans for our activities in 2014, a year that sees European elections being held in May. This is a great opportunity for CHC to engage with the next generation of Parliamentarians and ensure they understand just how important consumer choice in natural health products is.

“We are keen that our supporters know what we have been doing and what we are up to – that is why a summary of the above, as well as other news from CHC, is included in the first issue of our quarterly newsletter, downloadable here.”
