BOOM! Soil Association relaunches organic awards

The Soil Association is relaunching its annual celebration of the best of organic as the BOOM  Awards (Best of Organic Market), to mark a resurgent organic industry.

Now in their 30th year, the awards get a brand new look and an exciting new format to help really make a noise about organic in 2016.

The awards open for entries on Tuesday 5th January 2016 across the whole organic market including products, places and people.

Supported by cook, food stylist and writer Anna Jones – who is this year’s celebrity ambassador, the categories will be judged by a panel of industry experts, high profile chefs, bloggers and writers with a passion for great food.

Clare McDermott, business development director of Soil Association Certification said; “We’re really excited to launch our new BOOM Awards – we’re going to make some noise for the very best in organic and raise the profile of new and existing organic businesses. With over 1,000 new products licensed with Soil Association Certification in 2015 we know that there is fantastic innovation going on in the organic sector. Coupled with a panel of expert judges and the amazing Anna Jones, this year’s BOOM Awards are naturally worth shouting about!”.

Anyone in the organic industry or who has organic as part of their business can enter and there is a discount available for Soil Association Certification licensees who apply. The awards will provide a platform for all businesses looking to profile their organic ranges as well as an opportunity to see who’s who in organic.

Entries are open from Tuesday 5 January to Friday 26 February 2016. They will be judged in late March with an awards event being held in central London on Wednesday 11th May 2016.
