Strong growth and a slew of awards wins give Kinetic perfect start to 2015

Leading natural products distributor Kinetic will be coming to this weekend’s Natural & Organic Products Europe (19-20 April, ExCel, London) with a string of award-winning products – and the knowledge that 2015 has got off to a flying start.

Kinetic’s Alexander Barani comments: “Our brands have seen growth of between 22-55% between 2013 and 2014 – an amazing performance. Many of these brands are now established as household names thanks to the incredible efforts of the sales team here at Kinetic. Continued growth into 2015 is being helped by the other changes we have been making – smart new offices, sophisticated new warehousing, training suite and so on, and a big investment in people.

“With more nutritionists, more people on the road and a strengthened telesales team, we’re now able to take out place on a global stage of natural products distribution. And our three-wing strategy – natural beauty, superfoods and supplements – is really working well for us.”

The company is also celebrating sweeping this year’s Natural Health Magazine Beauty Awards. Kinetic brands scooped 10 wins, with Antipodes picking up two categories wins – for Best Anti-Ageing Product and Best Moisturizer – Pacifica winning Best Make-Up Range and Terranova taking Best Beauty From Within, plus a string of highly commended awards.

Kinetic will be featuring all its brands on its stand at ExCel, but Barani singled out “some stand-out products that I think people will be excited to see”.

“In beauty we have some fantastic products from Jason. There’s a lovely Gluten Free Facial Crème – as a brand they’ve been real pioneers of gluten-free beauty products, and have carved out a real niche. They also have some exciting coconut products, which makes a lot of sense – coconut is a family commodity, Jason is a family brand, so what’s not to like! And we have something really exciting for summer from Jason – a Soothing Aloe Vera Spray Lotion, that’s rich in botanicals and gives an easy all-over coverage. The fanastic Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum is going to attract lots of attention on the stand. As well as providing a daily shot of youth to help fortify skin from ageing, it is scientifically proven to inhibit oxidative stress by up to 90%, effectively neutralizing potential free radical damage. It’s another great example of how Antipodes’ science-based approach is helping bring great natural products to the market that come with proof that they work.

“We’re coming to the show with some amazing superfood products too, People are going to love the great new O’Coconut snacks from Nutiva. They come in Classic and Hemp & Chia. There are new products from Amazing Grass too, including a fabulous greens and protein blend product, that gives you the best of both worlds nutritionally and are a super healthy way to get your protein requirement.

“In the supplements, look out for the really exciting addition to the Ener-C range – Pineapple Coconut flavour. It tastes great and is very well absorbed. And don’t forget Terranova’s new Green Child range which will be hitting the market in May.”

Talking ahead of this weekend’s show, Barani said: “I think the trade is very excited about this year’s Natural & Organic Products Europe. The new venue – ExCel in Docklands – is where the serious business shows now take place, and I think because it is all about regeneration and regrowth, Docklands reflects the energy and dynamism of our own industry which is going through its own transition. We’re seeing a new generation of buyers – and brands – coming through, and ever-higher levels professionalism.”
