Wanted: feisty, fired-up retailers!

Are there any feisty and fired up retailers out there who would like to take part in a special discussion at Natural & Organic Products Europe next month called The High Street Fights Back?!

Panelists already on board are Joanna Blythman (author of Shopped: The Shocking Truth About Supermarkets and Guardian columnist) and community retail campaigner Elisabeth Winkler.

Now we need to recruit a couple of independent retailers with strong opinions on how to redress the balance of power in British retail, and who are happy to share their ideas and experience of being a community retailing champion on their own high street.

Please do let me know if you’d like to get involved, or you want to nominate someone, by dropping me a quick email to [email protected]

.

The timings and summary are as below.

The High Street fights back
Keynote Theatre, Olympia, London, 11.30-12.30 Sunday 1 April 2012

After years of supermarket dominance it’s time to reclaim our high streets.
And with recent Retail Sales Figures showing small stores outperforming the
major multiples, we could just be seeing the first signs that consumers are
falling out of love with the major multiples.

Hear from some of the leading figures in the debate on the future of retailing in this timely, provocative and inspiring discussion. More importantly, find out how you can play your part on the frontline — your own high street — to secure a level playing field for community retailers.

Thanks guys. Jim
