Marigold Health Foods’ warehouse in London has been badly damaged by a fire, the cause of which is yet to be determined.

In the early hours of Saturday 28 September, 12 fire engines and about 80 firefighters were called to a fire at Marigold Health Foods’ distribution warehouse on White Hart Lane in Tottenham.

The London Fire Brigade says it was notified at 3.37am and the fire was under control by 7.59am, by which time the ground floor, first floor and roof of the two storey unit had been destroyed. There were no reports of any injuries.

Marigold is grateful for the patience and understanding of customers during this challenging period

“Crews made steady progress throughout the morning to bring the fire under control and stop it from spreading to other units,” says station manager Mark Jordan, who was at the scene.

The company’s website stated that it would not be able to collect or deliver stock or receive orders from suppliers or customers.

“Marigold is grateful for the patience and understanding of customers during this challenging period. We can only apologise to all the businesses, local residents and our staff who are affected by this emerging situation.”

Thanking clients for their support, it added: “We will endeavour to notify customers and suppliers of any developments as soon as we can.”
