Norfolk Punch producer mixes up new drinks

Herbal Fusions, the maker of Norfolk Punch, is launching three brand new, non-alcoholic herbal health drinks in 750ml bottles.

Fructus Benedictus is described as a rich combination of fruits, herbs and spices for all round herbal health. 100% natural, it was developed over a two-year period with the assistance of the late Dr Karin Cutter, a leading herbal authority in Australia. A number of the herbs included in the brew contain ingredients that mimic oestrogen, making it potentially useful for menopause symptoms as well as being an effective cardiovascular and small intestinal tonic. The herbal blend includes angelica, blackcurrant, cranberry, dong quai, feverfew, ginger, gingko leaf, liquorice, nettle, raspberry leaf and Siberian ginseng.

Ginger Bliss is a mixture of warming spices, nourishing herbs and fruits – including chamomile, clove, elderflower, nutmeg, poppy and thyme – with a hint of ginger to provide a refreshing, calming drink.

Hearts Delight is a traditional tonic of hawthorn berries (Crataegus oxyacantha), which have a long history of use as a heart tonic as well as an aid to digestion and circulatory problems. Water, apple juice, blackcurrant juic and elderberry juice are combined with infusions and extracts of chamomile, dandelion, grapeskin, hawthorn berries, hops, rowanberry, sarsaparilla and thyme.

After taking ownership of the Norfolk Punch business in the UK in 2013 and re-establishing the famous herbal drink, Herbal Fusions felt that now was the right time to introduce additional herbal beverages to develop its portfolio.

Herbal Fusions’ director/owner, Graham Trevitt, comments: “These exciting new products will further complement our current range of healthy, all natural, non-alcoholic herbal beverages which includes our famous Norfolk Punch brand.”
