Holland & Barrett (H&B) has announced a tie-up with Deliveroo to offer consumers a range of its most popular health products via the food delivery business’s website and app.

The partnership aims to give customers greater flexibility and access to healthy foods and supplements during the coronavirus crisis – especially for those who are self-isolating – helping them manage special diets and specific nutritional needs.

Customers can order from a line of over 200 products from 50 stores across the UK to be delivered in as little as half an hour. Items include CBD oil, manuka honey, baking ingredients, free-from products, vegan foods and VMS.

“These unprecedented times have seen more customers than ever before shop with us for their health products online,” explains H&B CEO Tony Buffin. “Deliveroo is an exciting new partnership for us – one that will make it even quicker and easier for customers to get some of our top selling lines during the lockdown. Delivery from stores will offer customers more choice and a speedy delivery service that has a lower impact on the environment.”

Ajay Lakhwani, VP of new business at Deliveroo, adds: “At Deliveroo, we are doing everything we can to make sure that people get the food they need and want during this unprecedented time. We are pleased to partner with Holland & Barrett and deliver a new range of healthy food and supplements to our customers.”

H&B first started delivering vitamins and supplements to customers on two wheels 150 years ago, and this move signals a modern return to that service.
