New cereal bars hit market

Wild Trail, the West Dorset-based artisan foods company, has launched a range of hand made popped corn cereal bars.

The bars were invented by former fruit farmer Gordon Leatherdale.

“We wanted to provide a decent, tasty and unique artisan product for independent and fine food retailers as an alternative to the heavily commoditised machine made products which dominate the cereal bar market,” he said.

“Our bars are a fantastic way of eating popped corn, fruits, nuts and seeds together. They are hand made, our ingredient quality is exceptionally high and people like them.”

The bars are available through SUMA, Queenswoods Tree of Life, Hider, Cotswold Fare and other national distributors.
