The Free From Skincare Awards, which are in their fourteenth year, have announced the winners, with skincare brands from north-eastern Europe taking the top honours this year, winning both the Overall Champion prize and Best Free From Brand prize.

Finland’s Laponie of Scandinavia won ‘Best Product in Show’ with their Mild Milk Cleanser, while close neighbours, Estonia’s LUMI, won Best Brand Gold, as well as Golds for Innovation, Free From Achievement, and in the Face Care (Leave On) category.

This has completely changed my opinion on non-foaming cleansers,” said one delighted tester of Laponie of Scandinavia’s winning fragrance-free formula, which also won Gold in the Problem Skin category. “It felt more like a skin treatment than a cleanser. My skin looked healthier, brighter, with fewer blemishes, less eczema, less rosacea, less irritation and it felt more supple and comfortable. It delivered.”

British and Irish brands performed well too. Somerset’s Lyonsleaf took Gold with their Foot Balm in the Hand & Foot Care category, becoming the first brand throughout the history of the Free From Skincare Awards to achieve 10 Gold medals, and several brands scored two Golds in the main product categories — Ireland’s Bodhi Blends, and England’s ARK Skincare and Husk & Seed Skincare.
