The city of Coventry has become home to Holland & Barrett’s (H&B) latest flagship store – a new 2,000 sq ft site featuring hundreds of new lines across VMS, beauty and sports nutrition.

Coventry’s shoppers will have access to ‘Qualified to Advise’ staff in-store, all with the equivalent of an A-level in nutrition. The team of advisors have all completed a programme of enhanced training ‘to help bolster their expertise to support customers with top tups and the best ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and supplementation’.

A dedicated honey section on the shop floor pays homage to the continuing growth of the manuka industry; a wide range of honeys on offer including unique craft honeys from around the world and the highest MGO manuka.

The new Clean & Conscious Beauty zone showcases the retailer’s extensive range of vegan, zero-waste and cruelty-free beauty brands and features 178 new products.

With sustainability ‘at the heart of the new store’, the interior design has centred around 100% recyclable materials (including all metalwork, wood, plastics, fibreboard and flooring) and new lighting designed to be more efficient, reduce energy consumption and lower the Coventry store’s carbon emissions.

As with the Chemlsford store, refurbished and reopened in July 2020, the tills are fitted with shielding screens and antibacterial hand sanitizer

Nicola Owen, store manager with 20 years’ experience at H&B, comments: “We are thrilled to be opening our brand-new store in the heart of Coventry city centre. The opening coincides with an exciting year for Coventry as it celebrates beginning its designation as the UK City of Culture 2021.

“We are looking forward to welcoming visitors from all over the country as well as offering a new shopping experience to our local community. As a team we are incredibly proud of the new store, it offers our customers a wider range of supplements, Clean & Conscious Beauty and sports nutrition. We have a team of trained experts who will be on hand to advise our customers on their needs and to recommend products that will be right for them.”
