When we think of menopause, the first images that come to mind are often of women in their 50s, quietly sweating through hot flushes or losing sleep with night sweats. What we don’t imagine—because most people don’t even know it’s possible—is a 25-year-old being told she’ll never have another period. That her ovaries have been removed. That she’s now postmenopausal.
That’s how GLORIAH was born—not from a product idea, but from a moment of disbelief, rage, and heartbreak.
We watched one of our closest friends go through surgical menopause in her mid-twenties following a major gynaecological operation. No one had prepared her for what that would feel like. Not just the insomnia, the crashing moods, or the vaginal dryness—though all of those arrived like an unwelcome tsunami—but the complete absence of support, information, or care tailored to someone her age.
We couldn’t stop asking: why does no one talk about menopause in younger women?
Instead, she was handed a leaflet and told to “give HRT a go.”
It didn’t sit right with us then, and it still doesn’t now.
We were two friends working in corporate and NHS environments, not beauty or wellness founders. But that moment ignited something. We couldn’t stop asking: why does no one talk about menopause in younger women? Why are the options either a pharma-heavy route or products that look like they were designed in 1992? Why isn’t there anything that speaks to the emotional and physical reality of hormonal shifts—whether from menopause, endometriosis, PMDD, or postpartum depletion?
So we did something about it.
GLORIAH: A Brand Born from a Feminist Health Crisis
We launched GLORIAH to fill that gaping void—a space where taboo-breaking education meets science-backed, sustainable self-care. Our first product, Liberation Oil, was formulated to support daily vaginal moisturisation through perimenopause and beyond. But more than that, it was designed to feel good—elevated, beautiful, and empowering. No shrink-wrapped plastic bottles. No medicalised pity.
Going through menopause—at any age—can be lonely. But for people experiencing early or surgical menopause, the silence is deafening.
From there, we built a community-first brand that leads with education, emotional connection, and unapologetic storytelling. And we do it all through a feminist lens.
Because when you’ve seen your friend cry in a pharmacy aisle, overwhelmed by shelves of products that make her feel broken or invisible, you realise: this is not just a hormonal health issue. It’s a systemic design flaw in the way society supports women.
The Emotional Toll of Being Ignored
Going through menopause—at any age—can be lonely. But for people experiencing early or surgical menopause, the silence is deafening.
There’s grief. Fear. Rage. The awkwardness of telling a partner you have no libido. The embarrassment of waking up soaked in sweat in your university accommodation. The pain of hearing “you’re too young” over and over again, even from doctors.
This emotional toll is something many brands don’t speak to. But we do. We believe in designing solutions that consider the whole woman—not just her vaginal pH, but her heartbreak, her ambition, her desire for pleasure and dignity.
You’re not broken. You’re powerful. And you deserve products—and a movement—that treat you that way.
What Makes GLORIAH Different
At GLORIAH, we’re doing things differently—and deliberately.
● Sustainable formulations using hero ingredients like AlgaPur, a clinically proven algae oil that boosts hydration and collagen.
● Scent-patented pulse oils that work with the brain’s olfactory system to support mood and energy (because mental health matters just as much as hormonal balance).
● Packaging that reflects beauty, not shame, with bold 70s-inspired colours and design (we’re reclaiming the era of liberation—literally).
● Community at the core, with WhatsApp groups, educational PDFs, and a movement-led content strategy that puts power back in the hands of those experiencing hormonal shifts.
Our friend’s story was the spark, but now GLORIAH is a fire—burning through the stigma, the underfunding, and the tired stereotypes that have dominated women’s health for too long.
We’re here to say: You’re not broken. You’re powerful. And you deserve products—and a movement—that treat you that way.
