  • Whole Earth has secured its first grocery listing for its Sparkling Drinks range, launching its 4-packs of Organic Sparkling Ginger and Organic Sparkling Elderflower into Sainsbury’s this month.
  • Bio&Me, co-founded by The Gut Health Doctor Dr Megan Rossi, has launched a new range of prebiotic Good For Your Gut yoghurts into Sainsbury’s. They are available in three flavours: Original, Madagascan Vanilla and Alphonso Mango.
  • Yeo Valley Organic has introduced two new fruity flavours of its fat-free, high-protein Super Thick 0% fat range. The Blueberry and Raspberry & Blackcurrant varieties are available in handy 150g pots.
  • In time for summer, plant-based brand Gosh! has added Mexican Style Burgers to its range of all-natural vegan burgers, made with kidney beans and chickpeas and seasoned with chipotle and lime, for a subtle smoky flavour with a mild heat.
  • Heura has become the first plant-based meat brand to receive B Corp Certification. Co-founder Marc Coloma says: “It highlights the key role plant-based food plays in the future of global food systems. We are not looking to be the best company of the world but the best company for the world.”
  • KIND’s latest addition to its breakfast bar offer is the new Almond Butter variety, a soft-baked bar featuring a base of five whole grains: oats, millet, buckwheat, amaranth and quinoa. It’s naturally high in fibre, gluten free and HFSS compliant.
  • Natural snack brand Real Handful has secured a national listing across 115 Morrison’s stores for its three-strong range of Craft Baked Peanuts, including the new Smoky BBQ flavour, as well as its Super Sweet & Salty Trail Mix.
  • Plant-based brand Mexicana Vegan has been confirmed as the first ever vegan cheeze to be introduced to Tesco’s Grab and Go Delis, which have replaced the supermarket giant’s full-service traditional delis.
  • The Cheeky Panda launched its range of bamboo products into Waitrose this month, in the brand’s first permanent supermarket listing. The launch initially sees its sustainable toilet rolls and face tissues go into over 200 Waitrose stores.
  • New from CBD wellness and skincare brand La Rue Verte come three new 100% biodegradable hemp products: high-grip yoga mats, hemp and silk eye masks and tote bags in large and small sizes. They are all vegan, cruelty-free and ethically made.
  • Nottingham based 200 Degrees Coffee Roasters has announced that its 14th coffee shop will be located in the historic city of York and will open in late June.
  • Irish free-from brand BFree has added new Avocado Wraps and High Protein Wraps to its range, both available in Sainsburys, with the High Protein also stocked in Morrisons and the Avocado in Tesco.
  • London-based start-up CBD brand TRIP has secured its first public raise of £3.5 million in partnership with key strategic investors including Depop CEO Maria Raga and entrepreneur and investor Christian Angermayer. The funds will support the brand’s launch into the US, NPD and driving growth across Europe.
  • BONRAW has kicked off a new product development schedule for 2021 with the roll-out of 1kg fully recyclable pouches across its three-strong range. The new 1kg Silverbirch, Panela and Coconut Blossom pouches are being targeted at the multiple, convenience, speciality and e-commerce retail channels.
  • Wild Cosmetics refillable natural deodorant brand has become part of Sainsbury’s Future Brands initiative, which supports start-up ventures that specialize in sustainability. Wild’s Starter Packs and Refill packs are now available nationwide in 300 of the supermarket’s superstores.
