So Pure Skincare hits stores

So Pure Skincare, a new British brand founded by Geeta Sood, recently debuted on UK shelves.

The skincare range was born out of Sood’s desire for a natural balm to treat her son’s eczema which he had developed at about six months old. “I was not keen on the synthetic brands my doctor had suggested,” she says, “so I decided to create a mostly organic, 100% natural anhydrous balm recipe for him. It was a total success and soon it was sorting out another family member’s eczema. Then friends and family encouraged me to think about creating my own skincare line.”

The product range includes Radiance Flower Nectar, Gentle Cleansing Drops, Rejuvenating Body Elixir, Healing Hand and Body Balm, Relaxing Bath Milk and Anti-Ageing Nutrient Elixir.

Rejuvenating Body Elixir contains Sood’s signature ingredient, organic prickly pear seed oil, which the company claims contains more tocopherol (vitamin E) than any other beauty oil on the market. It combines this with argan, sesame and thistle seed oils as well as extract of arnica flowers, rosa damascene, carrot and tiare flower, along with a mixture of essential oils.

The company’s formulations are freshly made by hand each month in small batches which are no more than 30 days old.
