Meatless Farm has expanded its product range with four new SKUs including the UK’s first branded plant-based meat-filled pasta, designed to appeal to plant-based shoppers, flexitarians or those wanting to try something new.

Meatless Farm’s new Beef, Red Wine & Porcini Mushroom Girasole sees the deep umami of mushroom complementing rich plant-based beef and red wine, while its No-Duja Ravioli is described as a fiery pasta featuring smoky and spicy No-Duja. Both are high-protein, low-sugar and cook in four to five minutes.

In time for BBQ season and building on the success of its original plant-based burger, the brand has also created a New York Style Cheezeburger featuring an oozy, smoky vegan cheese melt, alongside Chorizo-Style Sausages which pack a punch of smoky paprika for an authentic Spanish flavour and texture. The burger and sausages are high in protein and gluten- and soya-free.

we wanted to be the first to introduce plant-based meat alternative filled pastas to our range

“With the value of plant-based food sales growing alongside huge competition from challenger brands in the category, we wanted to be the first to introduce plant-based meat alternative filled pastas to our range,” comments brand founder Morten Toft Bech. “The NPD offers an everyday type of product that’s quick to cook, made of sustainable protein and is incredibly tasty.

“We aim to innovate and offer versatility to keep our existing customers interested while enticing new meat-lessers to try our products. The Cheezeburger and Chorizo-Style Sausages are simple swaps for the foods and flavours consumers already know and love as we head into the BBQ season.

“By launching a brand-new innovative offering with the pasta range and playing into previously successful global markets of plant-based burger and sausage sales, we plan to significantly grow the business this summer.”
