David Ridland

David Ridland is technical director of Soapworks, manufacturer of soaps and cleansing bars. Based in Glasgow, the company works with customers worldwide, supplying businesses from luxurious and sustainable brands through to high-volume retail and FMCG. Soapworks was founded by Body Shop entrepreneur Dame Anita Roddick, on the principles of ethical social enterprise and sustainability. The company is now part of the DAABON group – a global leader in sustainable agriculture. In 2020, the company donated more than 500,000 bars of soap to help fight COVID and to support vulnerable communities and refugees affected by war, disease, natural disasters and acute deprivation.
