Collaborate

In an interview series, Collaborate to Zero, that will be published this month and launched at COP26, Mark Jankovich, founder and CEO of Delphis Eco, will discuss how we can collaborate to a zero carbon world with sustainability champions including Nigel Topping, John Elkington and Fiona Ball. The inspirational conversations will explore insights and opinions on how we need to collaborate to innovate and scale in the race to a net zero carbon world. All of the proceeds of the book will go to charities fostering sustainable change. “It’s a dauntingly ambitious goal that will take radical, unprecedented levels of collaboration, particularly among sustainability leaders,” says Jankovich. “Our mission is to create a global Collaborate to Zero movement encouraging like-minded sustainable forward-thinkers, to work together to set new standards in environmental stewardship and shape a more positive future.”

Mighty Banana & Cocoa Oaty Bars are one of two new additions to Piccolo’s snack range. 100% vegan and gluten-free, they are made using organic ingredients, are high in fibre and have soft textured multigrains and inulin to support gut health. The second new SKU are Multigrain Puffs – Tomato Rings and Carrot Stars – offering a convenient source of fibre and protein (30% more fibre and 54% more protein than others on the market) through the inclusion of red lentils. Piccolo co-founder, Alice Fotheringham, comments: “It can be difficult for parents to find snacks that strike the right balance between having nutritional benefits and being convenient. We want to change that – so we make sure each of our snacking lines incorporate fibre-rich ingredients, which is really important to support their digestive systems, appetite and growth.”

Following the launch of Divine’s new-look packaging the brand has added three new 90g flavours to its collection: Smooth Milk Chocolate with Orange Crisp; Smooth Dark Chocolate with Pretzel & Caramel; and Smooth Milk Chocolate with Almond & Salted Caramel. The Dark Chocolate Pretzel & Caramel bar has a balance of sweet and salty with rich dark chocolate and chunks of crunchy pretzel combined with pieces of sweet caramel. The Milk Chocolate with Almond & Salted Caramel bar comprises smooth milk chocolate filled with crunchy caramel chunks, almond pieces and a hint of sea salt. Divine’s Milk Chocolate with Orange Crisp bar infuses smooth milk chocolate with real orange oil to create a smooth and zesty combination topped off with crunched pieces of popped quinoa. The packaging is plastic-free and uses recyclable foil and paper.

The Collective has created three new blended yoghurts that it says are the first carbon neutral yoghurts ever to hit stores in the UK. Each 450g tub is designed for sharing with family and friends or for grabbing a spoonful of from the fridge to satisfy sweet cravings. Made up of a blend of real fruit and live yoghurt made with British Milk, the yoghurts come in Strawberry & Vanilla, Peach & Mango and Blackberry & Blackcurrant varieties. On its journey to improve sustainability and recyclability, The Collective yoghurts are also packaged in 100% recyclable tubs and made from 100% recycled material. Working with ClimatePartner to reduce and offset its emissions through woodland afforestation and clean drinking water projects, The Collective says it has a clear reduction plan to become fully carbon neutral by 2025.

Weleda has unveiled new Skin Food Body Lotion to provide intensive, long-lasting moisture and comfort to dry, stressed-out skin. Easily absorbed, it leaves the skin feeling soft, supple and healthy, with no stickiness. It has scents of sweet orange and aromatic lavender, balanced by notes of benzoin. The product has been dermatologically tested for suitability on sensitive and very dry skin, showing that it repairs the skin’s barrier. The lotion is NATRUE-certified natural and of 100% natural origin, 79% of which is organic. “It is amazing to think that our iconic Weleda Skin Food moisturizer from 1926 now has four offspring: Skin Food Light, Skin Food Body Butter, Skin Food Lip Balm and now an exciting Skin Food Body Lotion,” says MD Jayn Sterland. “The new lotion harnesses the power of the original cream, with a similar evocative fragrance to the signature scent.”
