Co-founded by Square Pie creator Martin Dewey and registered dietitian Sasha Watkins, Field Doctor has launched in the UK with a range of ‘nutritionally-supercharged’ ready meals designed to improve specific areas of health.

Brought to life by Michelin-trained head chef Matt Williamson with ingredients selected for their nutritional properties and specific health benefits, the 19-strong range includes meals to boost immunity, support heart health, cognitive health and digestive health, helping with issues such as gluten intolerance, coeliac disease and IBS. Eight of the dishes strictly comply with the low FODMAP diet.

The nutritionally balanced meals are underpinned by Mediterranean dietary principles and are plant-heavy, high in fibre, have no refined carbs, artificial additives, preservatives or processed ingredients.

The range includes meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan dishes – such as Mediterranean Hake + Butterbean Stew, Red Pepper + Chickpea Curry, Malaysian Tofu Curry, Sweet Potato + Spinach Korma and Persian Pomegranate Chicken – and the company uses MSC-approved Cornish fish, British organic or free-range meat, and local businesses such as Hodmedods for pulses and grains.

The dishes are produced in small batches in the company’s Somerset kitchen, flash-frozen to lock in the goodness and sent straight to customers doors in biodegradable or recyclable packaging using carbon neutral delivery.

“The name Field Doctor stems from our belief that the right food can support both better health for your body and our planet,” explains Dewey. “We source whole food goodness from fields to boost your health whilst we support better farming practices that restore goodness to UK fields.
