Bath-based start-up Flavour Head has come to market with five hand-blended botanical teas made with 100% natural and responsibly sourced whole ingredients.

Created ‘after many months of blending, tasting, tweaking and repeating’, the collection comprises: Crazy Exotic, Wonderfully Zesty, Citrus Sunrise, Far Out Fruits and Mad About Mint.

Crazy Exotic has rosehip, lemon verbena, cranberry and peppermint among its leading ingredients to provide an uplifting blend that’s evocative of the Mediterranean with rich herbal notes of rosemary, lavender and peppermint.

With layers of citrus fruits and sweet coconut, Wonderfully Zesty is a stimulating concoction which also feature orange, hibiscus, ginger, safflower and spices to give just the right kick to start the day

Citrus Sunrise is described as the ultimate party blend, with cherry, yuzu peel, coconut flakes and sunflower petals; while Far Out Fruits is a relaxing blend of elderberry, bramble leaves, lemongrass and mallow flowers which bring bite, depth and floral notes.

And at the other end of the spectrum, Mad About Mint awakens the senses with peppermint, spearmint, eucalyptus and lime leaves.

“So often fruit and herbal teas look beautiful and have an enticing aroma, but the flavour just doesn’t deliver, so we’ve used whole fruits and herbs to create a well-rounded sensory experience that includes a strength of flavour that you’ve never experienced before,” says founder Craig Harries.  “Much like the third wave coffee and craft beer movements transformed their undervalued categories, our range of botanical teas have been created to reignite excitement and enthusiasm for tea, rather than taking it for granted as an uninspiring staple. Designed with flavour explorers in mind – those seeking new experiences that exceed current taste expectations – Flavour Head is raising the bar of the nation’s favourite drink and is taking it to vibrant, daring and exhilarating new heights.”

The teas are packaged in 37.5g boxes containing 15 biodegradable pyramid teabags.
