ELEATStart-up brand ELEAT has launched with a four-strong collection of gluten-free cereals. Made with a plant-based blend of sunflower and soya protein, together with rice and chickpea flour, the cereals are available in Chocolate Triumph, Cinnamon Sensation, Vanilla Thriller and Strawberry Blitz. Each 50g bowl contains over 12.5g of protein, 10g of fibre as well as prebiotics. Described as sweet and crunchy, they also contain less than 1.5g of sugar. Co-founders Hugh Hamilton-Green and Hywel Rose spent over 12 months developing ELEAT’s recipes. They comment: “We set out to create a great tasting cereal that wasn’t packed full of sugar, but instead crammed with protein, fibre, prebiotics and other nutrients in balanced ratios that are best for health and wellbeing.” HFSS-compliant, ELEAT comes in two recyclable packaging formats: 250g multi-serve resealable pouches and 50g single-serve packs.

Newly launched brand Nu:tropic has created a line of nootropic bars designed to shake up both the traditional snack and nootropic industry and make daily brain health more user-friendly. The convenient snack bars are made with Norwegian black oats and packed with the omega-3, phosphatidylserine, choline, vitamins, minerals and gut-healthy prebiotic fibre. Available in Apple + Cinnamon, Raisin + Almond, Salted Caramel and Maple + Pecan, each plant-based, gluten-free bar contains 150mg omega DHA, is high in fibre, low in sugar and less than 200 calories. Nu:tropic founder Dave Wright says: “Nu:tropic really is for everyone. Supplements, drinks, and other forms of nootropic all come with their pros and cons. But being able to pick up a snack bar makes it easy to get the daily nutrition-hit our brain needs. Anywhere, anytime.”

Skin Proud have introduced two new products to its skincare line: Face Melt and Proud Pods. Skin Proud Face Melt is a gentle balm to oil cleansing product formulated to remove daily pollution and leave skin feeling healthy and hydrated. Proud Pods provide lightweight and nourishing 100% plant-based squalane serum housed in waterless capsules and designed to soothe, smooth and give skin a natural glow. “Squalene acts as an emollient, helping retain moisture inside the skin,” explains Dr Kemi Fab, Skin Proud consultant. “By reducing water loss and maintaining the skin’s moisture levels, the skin’s barrier is protected and strengthened. I love Squalene as the  light texture combined with the anti-inflammatory properties mean it’s also perfect for keeping oily and acne prone skin hydrated without clogging as well as delivering what a drier or dehydrated skin needs too.”

Natural confectionery brand Panda Liquorice is adding a new vegan chocolate-coated liquorice product to its line-up. The Soft Liquorice Covered in Creamy Choc bites come in 110g bags and are vegan-friendly and Rainforest Alliance-certified. The treats are made with natural flavours and just four ingredients as, says the brand, keeping ingredients to a minimum has always been close to its heart. Lisa Gawthorne, director at Bravura Foods which distributes the brand in the UK, comments: “It’s an exciting first for Panda innovating in a chocolate liquorice product. The new product is made with rice milk making it suitable for the vegan market and it’s a real novelty as a lot of chocolate-coated products aren’t necessarily vegan-friendly.” The product will initially launch online with Holland & Barrett and the health food sector in September.
