Cruelty Free International launches campaign to end animal testing for cleaning products

Cruelty Free International has launched an EU-wide campaign to stop animal testing for cleaning products after it successfully campaigned for an EU ban on testing cosmetics on animals.

“A growing number of Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free companies like The Co-operative, Marks and Spencer, Waitrose, Ecover, method and Bio-D have proven it is possible to make household products without testing on animals,” says the organization.

“Now is the time to place the issue of animal-tested household cleaning products on the EU political agenda and gain support from MEPs, the European Commission and governments for the introduction of a ban across Europe.”

The campaign is being supported by major brands and retailers in the UK.
