As part of its recent brand refresh campaign, Solaray has entered the beauty sector with an initial four nutricosmetic solutions: Hair Skin & Nail, Vitamin B12 with Folic Acid Lozenges, Selenium 100 and Timed-Release Biotin.

The Solaray Hair, Skin & Nails is a gluten-free formula featuring a combination of vitamins and minerals to support your hair, skin and nails, including biotin, selenium, zinc, copper, niacin, vitamins B2 and C. It also contains a dried herbs and vegetables blend which includes antioxidant-rich nettle leaves, broccoli, alfalfa and parsley.

Vitamin B12 with Folic Acid Lozenges provides 1,000 mcg of B 12 as cyanocobalamin, plus 400 mcg of folic acid for added support. For optimal absorption into the bloodstream, the cherry-flavour lozenges are formulated to dissolve slowly in the mouth, helping to support normal metabolism and nerve function, which plays a role in weight management.

The introduction of our new ‘beauty’ category has allowed us to provide an offering in this area to independent retailers

Solaray’s Selenium 100 activates enzymes that regenerate antioxidants in the body, such as vitamin C, helping to kill harmful free radicals, which in turn promotes hair growth and strong, healthy nails. It can also contribute to the normal function of the immune system and thyroid.

High potency Timed-Release Biotin contains 5,000 mcg of biotin in each VegCap to promote healthier skin, fuller and shinier hair and stronger nails. The two-stage, timed-release formula provides sustained support over a longer period of time, releasing half of the biotin rapidly and the other half gradually over a period of up to eight hours.

“Interest in nutricosmetics has grown in recent years, due to increasing hair and skin care problems but also rising awareness of health management,” comments the brand’s country manager, Martin Watson. “The introduction of our new ‘beauty’ category has allowed us to provide an offering in this area to independent retailers. The global market for nutricosmetics is expected to reach $5.6 billion by 2028, so we are looking forward to seeing the category grow and develop over time.”
